Arsenal receive Premier League title boost with Man City facing potential points deduction.
The possible sanctions Man City could face include EXPULSION from the league and stripping of titles
Pep Guardiola’s FFP remarks resurface after Man City allegedly broke Premier League financial rules.
A significant points deduction would see City lose more Premier League titles, with United finishing above them in the 2020-21 season if a 13-point sanction occurs.
Finally, it would take a mammoth 20-point penalty for City to drop their Premier League title win in the 2017-18 season to crosstown rivals United.
Following the news of the alleged Premier League financial rules being broken, City said in a statement: “Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with.
“The club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.
“As such we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all.”
