Celtic Team News, Injuries and Possible Lineup

Celtic were dealt terrible injury news this afternoon as Brendan Rodgers revealed that Daizen Maeda will be sidelined for six weeks due to an injury he sustained in Tuesday’s 6-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid.
The Bhoys will look to get back to winning ways against Aberdeen on Sunday but will have to do so without one of their star players.
One player who looks set to start is Hyunjun Yang, the South Korean who winger assisted Matt O’Riley in the reverse fixture at Pittodrie in a 3-1 win. Yang has yet to be in involved in a goal since his assist in August and will be desperate to start contributing goals and assists after a frustrating start to life at Celtic
There’s also uncertainty surrounding the third central midfield spot, alongside Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley. Paulo Bernardo started against Atletico Madrid, while David Turnbull got the nod in the previous two Scottish Premiership matches against Ross County and St Mirren.
Potential Celtic team vs Aberdeen
In goal, Joe Hart will get the nod. Hart continues to remain Brendan Rodgers’ number one choice despite doubts over his future at the club.
Rodgers will likely name an unchanged back four despite conceding six on Tuesday with Alistair Johnston at right back. Cameron Carter-Vickersand Liam Scales are set to continue their formidable defensive partnership, which has improved with each game. Greg Taylor will cap off the back four and has been a stalwart at left back this season under Rodgers.
Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley will both start in midfield, they have developed an incredible partnership in the Celtic engine room. Both were substituted on Tuesday in the second half with Sunday’s game in mind. David Turnbull will likely start the game, despite being benched on Tuesday. His back-to-back goals in recent games against Ross County and St Mirren have been instrumental in breaking down resilient defences. Paulo Bernardo might be disappointed not to start, but Rodgers tends to rotate the advanced centre midfield position from game to game.
